Step 4 - Healing Yourself - Total Chakra Balancing!
This month, we have devoted it to get you healthier. We worked on everything, from your thought patterns, emotional wellbeing to your physical body, and diet. But, now it’s time to focus on the spiritual aspect of yourself. As you already might know, the chakras are energy centers through your body. They distribute the life force from the Universe through your body and transform it into specific types of energy needed for every aspect of your life. Here is why each chakra is important to be properly balanced:
The Root Chakra:
Muladhara is the first chakra, located at the end of your spine. The Root Chakra is the center of balance in your life, it is the very energy that keeps you grounded, realistic and is associated with all of your basic needs and instincts. In a way, the energy of the Root Chakra is your survival kit for the world. If the energy flow to the Root Chakra is disturbed in any way, it can have devastating consequences on your life such as:
Always being negative
Terrified of a loss of control
Being a workaholic
Not getting along with your family
Not setting aside time to feed your creative energies can be devastating and result in a blockage of the Sacral Chakra. While the Root Chakra is the center of balance, the Sacral Chakra is the very opposite - constantly swirling you into chaotic creativity.
All the passion that you feel in your life, all the insane but somehow genius ideas that you had, all that wild imagination that used to run free through your entire being is the work of the Sacral Chakra. Much like it’s element - water - the energy that the Sacral Chakra provides you with is constantly flowing, changing and helping you with any desired change to your lifestyle that you wish. If your Sacral Chakra is blocked you can experience:
Feeling easily offended
Lack of creative inspiration
Fear of change
Guilt about the past
Your Solar Plexus Chakra is the energy center of personal strength and power. It is located above your belly button, near the diaphragm and it is represented with a shimmering, golden, dark yellow color. The Solar Plexus fiery nature, when properly functioning ignites flames of self-confidence, unwavering will and a no BS attitude - to others and to yourself. All the self-victimization, laziness and being undermined by others is a sign of a blockage of the energy of the Solar Plexus Chakra. Other signs of imbalance include:
Controlling, intolerant, or excessively competitive behavior
Overeating and overindulgence
Fatigue or excessive laziness
Insecurity, anxiety, and fear
Low body weight and poor appetite
Lack of confidence and poor self-image
Inability to focus and lack of organization
The Heart Chakra is your center of unconditional love. The ability for endless kindness, compassion, and love all lie here - in your heart. The gentle, nourishing energy that flows in the Anahata, represents a balancing force that keeps your chakras in perfect balance.
Represented with green color, the Heart Chakra holds the key to unconditional love. But, there is a secret! You can’t find unconditional love unless you create it first. The Heart Chakra is one of the most important chakras, and any disbalance in it can be devastating. Some of the symptoms of unbalanced Heart Chakra are:
Difficulty trusting others
Impatience and irritability
Lack of empathy
The Throat Chakra is one of the most important chakras in your body. It is the energy center of how you are perceived, how you perceive yourself, and most importantly a direct connection to your spirit and your truth.
Your truth, your life, what you truly desire, your very purpose in life, it’s all locked in your Throat Chakra. Naturally, when this chakra is imbalanced, you will keep wandering, lost in space and time, never knowing what to truly focus on. Your life’s purpose will always seem like it’s out of reach. Or, it might seem to you that your life doesn’t have a purpose. And there isn’t a worse feeling in life. Besides these a lot of things might be out of order:
Lack of control over how much you say and how you say it
Often being misunderstood
Not being able to listen to others
Fear of speaking
Third Eye Chakra:
The Third Eye Chakra is the energy center that connects you to all aspects of yourself. You might think that there is only this, the physical aspect of yourself, but there is a lot going on on different levels of yourself - different perspectives and perceptions of the bigger picture, a bigger and truer aspect of yourself - your Higher Self.
By being disconnected from an entire aspect of yourself, you are cutting yourself short, even before you start growing. Some of the issues that you might have encountered and signifies that your Third Eye Chakra is out of balance are:
You don’t see the bigger picture
Feeling stuck in the daily grind
You have a habit to escape into daydreaming to avoid reality
You suffer from frequent headaches or migraines
You are much more complex than you think you are. There are so many aspects of yourself, on different levels of existence. And one of the most important aspects of yourself is your connection with the universe itself. The Crown Chakra is the last energy center, sitting at the top of your head, and it helps you connect and experience yourself on all the different levels of existence. Your Crown Chakra is your connection to the Universe.
The Crown Chakra is the energy center that receives the life force and sends that energy through all the rest of the chakras. And when your Crown is out of whack, well that can be devastating because it will show in all aspects of your life. Some of the signs of disbalance of the Crown Chakra are:
Disconnecting from your spirituality
Confusion about what you want to do
Lack of inspiration
Desire to oversleep
Now that you know that each chakra holds the key to a specific aspect of yourself, you understand that to become healthier, you have to work on balancing all of your chakras. With this Chakra meditation, we are sure that you will get them in the proper order in no time! Here is how it goes:
Go to a peaceful quiet place, it’s essential when it comes to this particular Meditation
Set up the right atmosphere and sit down on the ground
Close your eyes as you slowly breathe in and breathe out
Imagine yourself floating in space. Countless stars and planets on different distances from you. You can feel the energy flowing all over you. Don’t worry if you feel as if it’s chaotic, it’s perfectly natural to feel so.
But you will not focus on them. They are simply there so you can see the immense energy that flows through the universe and through you.
Now slowly observe your body. You can see different colored circles over the length of your spine.
Start from the bottom, from your Root Chakra. Focus on the red energy swirling chaotically. Visualize the red swirling energy increasing, growing, and radiating with shimmering red energy.
Now focus on your Sacral Chakra. Focus on the orange energy swirling chaotically. Visualize the orange swirling energy increasing, growing, and radiating with shimmering orange energy.
Next focus on your Solar Plexus Chakra. Focus on the yellow energy swirling chaotically. Visualize the yellow swirling energy increasing, growing, and radiating with shimmering yellow energy.
Now focus on your Heart Chakra. Focus on the green energy swirling chaotically. Visualize the green swirling energy increasing, growing, and radiating with shimmering green energy.
Next focus on your Throat Chakra. Focus on the blue energy swirling chaotically. Visualize the blue swirling energy increasing, growing, and radiating with shimmering blue energy.
Now focus on your Third Eye Chakra. Focus on the purple energy swirling chaotically. Visualize the purple swirling energy increasing, growing, and radiating with shimmering purple energy.
Now focus on your Crown Chakra. Focus on the light violet energy swirling chaotically. Visualize the light violet swirling energy increasing, growing, and radiating with shimmering light violet energy.
As you finish, slowly look at the universe in which you are floating. Feel the energy around you and within you.
Feel how everything is in complete balance.
Slowly distance yourself and focus on your breathing.
You can open your eyes when you feel ready.
And that’s it. We advise you to do this Meditation regularly, if not every day then every second day. This meditation might take a longer time than the other beginner meditations that we have previously shared with you guys, but it’s worth the effort believe me!
