How To Use Candles to Manifest More Self Love?
You go through life, from task to task, at work, at home, with your children, family, partner, you run all the time like crazy, and yet at the end of the day you still think – “I could have done better.” Or “I didn’t get ALL the things done” and suddenly, your whole image of self-worth crumbles. Sounds familiar?
We know because whether we like it or not, we are all there. But we don’t have to be, and that is very empowering to realize and know. Self-love is like a middle finger to anxiety, stress, and depression. When you give yourself the respect you deserve, when you stop throwing out the good things in life just because you didn’t get to do as many good things as you wanted to – that is when the trio of negativity packs its bags from your life and moves out for good. Loving yourself is a conscious decision, and when you make it you also have to commit time to develop self-love.
The easiest way to do so is to give your self-love, self-worth, and self-acceptance a little boost with candle magic! Here are a few ways to use candles to manifest more self-love in your life:
1. Self-Acceptance Candle Magic
For this candle magic, you will need three mini ritual candles and rose quartz puffed heart. Although the rose quartz can be in any shape, and it is completely optional, we like to use it along the candles to enhance the connection with the Heart Chakra.
Place the three candles in a triangle form and the rose quartz puffed heart at the middle of the candles. If you aren’t using a rose quartz crystal, then line up the candles in a single row.
Breathe in and breathe out. Focus on your inner self. How are you feeling? Do you feel like there is a hole in your chest? Take a few more deep breaths.
Now, repeat the following affirmation three times: “I am worthy of loving myself”. Then light the furthermost left candle. Take a few more deep breaths.
Then, repeat the following affirmation three times: “I am a magnificent kind human being”. Then light the furthermost right candle. Take a few more deep breaths.
Then, repeat the following affirmation three times: “I am enough. I accept myself. I love myself”. Then light the middle candle. Take a few more deep breaths.
Then take your rose quartz puffed heart and place it on your chest. Feel its energy connecting to your Heart Chakra, filling you up with self-love.
Once the candles burn out, say a little gratitude prayer.
2. Self-Worth Meditation With Candle Pillar
Dim the lights of your room.
Sit upwards, and take a few deep breaths.
Now, light your Love Pillar Candle.
Breathe in and breathe out. Let the gentle, yet refreshing mix of essential oils relax you.
Focus on the flame of the candle. Try to devoid yourself of thoughts. Simply follow the flame as it dances before you. Notice every flicker, every movement, every increase or decrease in flame.
Now, close your eyes and visualize your body. Focus on your chest, and imagine a very small spark lighting up from time to time.
Visualize the spark enlarging, sparking up stronger and stronger every time. Then suddenly, the spark turns into a flame, like the one your candle has. Visualize the flame burning brighter and bigger with every breath you take. You may notice that you are smiling as you visualize, or perhaps a few tears fall down your cheek. Whichever it is, embrace it, and use it to fuel the flame within your chest.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Now open your eyes, and focus on the candle for a few more moments.
Say a little gratitude prayer, and put out the candle with wet fingers or by covering it up – never blow it out!
3. Rune Candle Carving For Self Love
- To awaken your self-love we would recommend the Heart Chakra Pillar, however, any candle that you prefer would do.
- Candle carving can get a little messy, so try to do this ritual somewhere in your home where it will be easy for you to clean up afterward.
- We recommend for self-love to use the Mannaz rune and then carve a heart symbol around it. However, if you feel like runes are a bit too much for you, you can always carve the first letter of your name at the center, and carve the heart symbol around it.
- Cleanse your candle by leaving it under the moonlight, sunlight, or the simplest way – by holding it over the sage. Breathe in and breathe out. Sage is a powerful cleanser of negative energy and airborne bacteria.
- Cover your candle with essential oils. You can pick your favorites. We love the Little Joy Oil, it’s the best for this ritual!
Now it’s time to start carving! Be careful when carving your candle not to cut yourself. Besides the symbol that you have chosen to carve in the middle of the candle, we encourage you to continue carving and decorating the candle around the main symbol. The more details you add, the deeper the self-love ritual will reach.
All you have to do after this is light your candle every day until it burns out. Never blow out your candle, instead, use wet fingers to put it out if you don’t want to burn it out all at once.
