The Mandala is a spiritual symbol in Hindu and Buddhist practices. It’s actually a geometric pattern that represents the universe. Cool, right?
The word mandala translated from the sacred Sanskrit language means “circle”. You must have noticed that even though each Mandala is different and contains various shapes in it, the construct is always a circle. Each element is repetitive and wonderfully made to match into the concentric circle.
After all the Universe is in perfect balance and harmony which is why the mandala itself is made in such a way to represent those things. It’s kind of mesmerizing when you look at them which is exactly their purpose. To mesmerize and to help us on our spiritual journey by symbolizing unity and harmony which helps you to cultivate enlightenment in your life. Each Mandala has a specific purpose and meaning, and it is used for different things that you might need in your life. And most often it is used in Meditations. By sending your intent and focusing on the Mandala it is believed that you can gain knowledge from within.
